This replacement part is a lower arm spray, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. The lower arm sprays are an important part of the cleaning process in many dishwashers. This spray arm is situated underneath the top dish rack and projects water downward for more sufficient cleaning.A new lower spray arm might be needed if the user notices the current one is failing to spin or expel water. If dishes are coming out of the dishwasher and are only partially cleaned, then it might be time for a new arm spray. Be sure the water is completely turned off from the appliance before attempting to repair this part. Refer to the user guide for more specific directions on how to replace the lower arm spray. This lower arm spray is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. This dispenser is a genuine OEM part.

Then, while ordering parts, I read that the Piston & Nut assembly is the typical cause of the condition I was... Read more

There is a plastic "snapping" feature (Two plastic tabs that when pressed together can fit into the holes on the spray arm. Once in there, the tabs expands and keep the spray arm in place) that comes out of the top onto which the spray arm is attached to. That plastic piece broke and the spray arm fell off. It wasn't clear how the snapping feature was attached to the top of the dishwasher at first. I was looking for a replacement for it and could not find it on any of the assembly diagram... Read more
