The Dishwasher Door Cable is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It works with the door latch assembly to ensure secure closure of the dishwasher door. The cable is responsible for connecting the door handle mechanism to the latch, allowing users to easily open and close the door with a gentle pull or push. Replaces broken or cracked 3rd level spray arm assembly that mounts at the top of the tub. Includes mounting tabs and collar for secure installation.
There is a plastic "snapping" feature (Two plastic tabs that when pressed together can fit into the holes on the spray arm. Once in there, the tabs expands and keep the spray arm in place) that comes out of the top onto which the spray arm is attached to. That plastic piece broke and the spray arm fell off. It wasn't clear how the snapping feature was attached to the top of the dishwasher at first. I was looking for a replacement for it and could not find it on any of the assembly diagram... Read more

I replaced the pump and motor assembly. I also proactively replaced the fill hose while I had the dishwasher out since it was decades old. GE now only sells a generic kit. There were about 7 different sets of directions for different groups of models, and myriad adapters and other parts to support all of them. I wish GE had provided a way of looking up which instructions to use based on model # as that would have saved me a lot of trouble sorting out the instructions, but I didn't find one.... Read more
