Ordered a new tube so the flapper valves would be clean and close properly. The old flapper valves had buildup on them and would not divert the water to the upper spinner. The cups would get a soap/food scrap residue that hadn't been cleaned off. Wish I didn't have to buy the entire tube and could just get the flapper valves/assembly separately as the tube was fine, just needed the diverter/flapper valves, but price was pretty good and it arrived in a moderately decent time. Grandma had a whirlpool tech. Come out and determined it was the control panel. He wanted to charge $500 for parts and labor. I found the panel on here so I ordered it and installation took 10 minutes at most with just 6 screws along with some tabs holding the circuit board in. Put it all back together and it worked great. Make note the screws were special torx heads but I was able to manage with Allen keys to remove them. Read more
