The instructions I read said to remove the stove control knobs, remove the screws under them and lift of the control cover. It didn't work that way. In fact you don't even need to remove the screws under the knobs. That panel is screwed in from all sides. I had to slide the stove out so I could reach the sides of the front panel. I am a plumber by trade so I was guessing my way through this. It took me a while to figure out that I had to drill out the screws that held the burners in place. The screws were so rusted that I couldn't tell that they were philips.
