Similar to other stories on here, the microwave was repeatedly tripping the circuit breaker, usually when opening the door. Plugged microwave into a different outlet/circuit, and problem traveled to that breaker, so definitely issue within the appliance. Turned out to be door interlock switch. I believe the problem was caused by a power surge when our electricity returned from an outage. FirstI removed the two screws on top and removed the vent. This exposes the one screw that holds the control panel in place. First I checked the fuse to see if blown but it was ok. Two screws hold the plastic. bracket in place that holds the 3 door switches. So, you would think that Bosch would make the door handle a TAD more accessible for a quick replacement and repair. You have to first remove the plastic lining on the back of the door, then the black metal surround that holds the inner glass to be able to get to the two screws that hold the door handle supports. Pretty easy repair. Removed two top screws, then used a credit card and flathead screw driver to slide out the old plastic tabs that had broken off the old part. Then, put in new charcoal filter and new part. Attach both top screws and do not over tighten.... done! Read more
