After the second shelf brackets wore out from 12 years of use, I decided to try buying replacement shelves, since the refrigerator still works great. For $200, I replaced all the broken shelves and brackets, giving me my original new refrigerator again, at least for awhile. This is a dispenser control board for refrigerators. It's located on the door of the refrigerator where ice and water are dispensed. The main purpose of the dispenser control board is to control all the water and ice dispensing operations carried out by the refrigerator. It connects to the ice door heaters, ice door motor, and dispenser motor. If water and ice can be dispensed while the door is open, the dispenser control board likely needs to be replaced.Disconnect the refrigerator from electrical power and place any perishable items in a cold location during the repair. Take the drip tray away from the dispenser and pry the dispenser housing away from the appliance. With access to the control board, note where wires are and then disconnect them. Remove the dispenser control board before replacing the wires on the new component.
