When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. I just can't throw anything that works away, especially an expensive refrigerator. After the second shelf brackets wore out from 12 years of use, I decided to try buying replacement shelves, since the refrigerator still works great. For $200, I replaced all the broken shelves and brackets, giving me my original new refrigerator again, at least for awhile.
