Removed front of dryer and back access plate allowing me to see that the pipe just slipped over the blower. A small tab in the back cover was inserted inside the left side of the pipe and when I straightened the tab I could move the pipe to the right and then straight out. Replacement of the pipe was the reverse. The new pipe did not have a hole for the tab, so I bent the tab to its original position, and rested the pipe against the tab. This motor plate is the stamped metal mounting plate that secures the motor assembly and keeps it aligned for smooth operation. It restores proper motor positioning and reduces vibration-caused noise or wear. What it does:
Three temperature gas rotary switch.
The control panel houses all the buttons, knobs, and display for operating the dryer's various functions and cycles. Replace when buttons don't respond, the display is damaged, or the panel is cracked or broken.
The only way to fix it was to order a new backsplash. While waiting for the backsplash to arrive, I had to use plyers to turn my dryer on. Read more
Gas dryer application
I disassembled the dryer to get to the inner rear so that I could disconnect the old cord and replace it with the new cord. The disassembly process was long about 40 mins (first timer) but not very difficult. The replacement process was extremely easy and the reassembly process took about 10 mins. Read more
Removed the back panel from the top of the dryer, took a picture of the timer wiring, removed the wires, removed and replaced the timer, reattached the wires and replaced the panel, installed the new knob. Read more
