This oven flange seal creates a tight weatherstrip between the oven door and cabinet to help keep heat and moisture inside the cooking cavity for more consistent baking and reduced heat loss around the door. What it does:

• Seals the gap between the oven door and the oven frame to help maintain internal temperature.
• Reduces heat and smoke escaping from the oven during use.
• Helps prevent spills and crumbs from entering the flange area.
• Common symptom indicators: visible gaps, torn or brittle seal, heat felt at the door edge, or uneven cooking.

• Disconnect power (unplug or shut off circuit breaker) before servicing the appliance.
• Inspect the door and flange channel for debris or damage; clean before installing the new seal.
• Press the seal evenly into the retaining channel around the flange; replace any fasteners if required by OEM instructions.

This switch monitors the oven door/lock status for high-temperature self-clean (pyrolytic) operation. If it fails, the control may read the door position incorrectly, preventing self-clean or causing incorrect door-lock indications.

• Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely
• Access the switch near the door latch or behind the control panel; note wire positions and transfer one at a time
• Mount the new switch with the actuator oriented to engage the latch/door correctly
• Restore power and the control recognizes door closed/locked status before operation
