Had a little trouble getting the correct part number, but with the help of Appliance Parts Pros very knowledgeable customer service. The correct part was ordered. Removed two screws to access inside panel of door. These screws also secure the door handle. Removed an additional 4 screws to completely remove the old handle. I ordered the rocker switch recommended by the site. The old one pulled out easily and it was just a matter of slipping the wires onto the plugs and we were done. Tested it and we are cooking! Read more

The video on AppliancePartsPros.com clearly showed how to do this simple repair. I would add that, if your overlay is old enough to need replacement, it is probably old enough to leave a lot of glue on the assembly when you strip it off.Have some glue remover and a scraper handy to clean off the old glue.
