This body vent directs airflow at the refrigerator cabinet base to help maintain proper air circulation and protect internal components. It replaces a cracked, broken, or missing vent to restore correct cabinet airflow and appearance. What it does:
Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. We ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pro.com on Sunday and we received them on Tuesday!! It took us about 10 minutes to take the old parts out and put the new ones in. We are very happy and would definitely order from them again. Read more

Did ohm test on element and temperature sensor, both passed. Replaced control board. Needed to modify one wire, trimmed plastic terminal clip and receptical box to allow old wire to plug into new control board. Read more

Replaced screws, would have liked to replace discolored plastic end plates but not for $35 to $40 dollars per end cap. Read more

Purchased the parts in two segments, did not realize that GE had changed the design and our original bar was too short. Once we had all the pieces installation just took fifteen minutes and all is fine. Read more
