Had a little trouble getting the correct part number, but with the help of Appliance Parts Pros very knowledgeable customer service. The correct part was ordered. Removed two screws to access inside panel of door. These screws also secure the door handle. Removed an additional 4 screws to completely remove the old handle. We checked the resistance of the sensor and it indicated it was defective. We ordered the part before 2:00 pm and it arrived the next day around 1:00 pm. It took about 15 minutes to change and we were up and running. Read more

I would add that, if your overlay is old enough to need replacement, it is probably old enough to leave a lot of glue on the assembly when you strip it off.Have some glue remover and a scraper handy to clean off the old glue. This small plastic button covers the electrical connection point where the range plugs into the wall outlet, located on the back of the unit. Replace if the button is cracked, missing, or doesn't properly cover the plug connection.
