This is an upper dish rack assembly for dishwashers. It is located in the top section of the dishwasher and is meant to ensure dishes stay in place while the dishwasher is running. The dish rack assembly is durable but can experience damage, stains, or other issues. This may make it unsuitable for holding dishes in the appliance. If the part is damaged or malfunctioning, it should be replaced with a new part.This is a simple replacement that takes only a few minutes to complete. First, open up the dishwasher. Remove the bottom rack if desired to create more room to work with the upper dish rack assembly. Take a small flathead screwdriver and use it to release the retaining tabs located on the stop clips. Remove the stop clips and the old dish rack assembly will slide out. Align the new assembly and slide it into place before reassembling other small parts.This upper dish rack assembly is used as an authentic OEM replacement part for dishwashers manufactured by Maytag, Norge, Jenn Air, Admiral, Amana, Crosley, and Magic Chef. Found that the broken impeller was broken and the discharge assembly had a loose plate which cut the side of the housing jamming the wash arm. Replaced the broken parts and it works fine! Read more
I was able to locate the model number and enter this on the website which gave me an expanded view of all the parts for my model. From this I was able to determine which parts I needed and order them. Customer Service was Excellent for Helping me make the right choices. Upper wash arm retaining clip.
I knew from experience it was a clogged secondary filter. We keep a kosher kitchen and it's big enough to have 2 dishwashers......one for meat dishes and one for dairy dishes. The meat one tends to get clogged more than the other one, as it is dealing with animal fats that tend to leave residue inside the secondary filter.
