Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher would fill then shut off when restarted it would try to fill again overflowing   Robert J. • Schererville , IN • July 02, 2016

I replaced the float switch. It was an easy enough repair. I didn't have to remove the dishwasher to do the work. The part is accessible from behind the front skirt. The only problem was there is not a lot of space to work in. Getting the fastener off and on requires a stubby nut driver. I used a flexible extension instead. I had to feel for the nut as the bottom of the door blocked my view. A ten minute job and the dishwasher is back in service (for half the cost of my local parts place) While... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking at the front of the dishwasher and junk on the dishes after washing   Michael R. • Los Angeles , CA • March 08, 2016

Part I ordered was not the problem. The corners of the dishwasher were loaded with garbage, grease and other foodstuffs. I digitally cleaned out the corners, re-seated the door seal and used a cleaner in the machine. Did two courses of cleaning. Also needed to clean the pump screen and top of the pump. Lots of junk there. All of this fixed the leaking and the junk on the dishes. Hardest part was loosening the duct from the top impeller to the pump. Read more

Inner Slide Rail (Track)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10144736

This inner slide rail (track) supports a refrigerator/freezer drawer and restores smooth, stable gliding for the drawer. Replacing a worn or damaged rail helps stop sticking, misalignment, rattling or partial drawer drops. What it does:

  • Provides the inner guide surface that the drawer rollers slide on for smooth operation
  • Keeps the drawer aligned so it opens and closes evenly
  • Reduces sticking, squeaks or rough movement caused by a worn track
  • Helps prevent the drawer from coming off the glide or dropping unexpectedly

What's included: One inner slide rail (track) Install notes:

  • Disconnect power to the appliance before starting and remove the drawer to access slides
  • Retain and reuse any factory screws/fasteners unless replacements are provided
  • Typical installation requires basic hand tools and aligning the rail into the outer slide; do not force parts

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Some of the buttons on the control panel did not work   William H. • Albuquerque , NM • July 22, 2019

First, I checked the Appliance Parts Pros website and learned how to do a reset (unplug, wait, plug back in). That restored some functions, but not all. After further reading about people who had resolved similar problems, I decided to order and replace both the electronic control board and the control panel. (I was pretty sure it was only the control panel, but decided to do this once, replace both parts and get a new, fresh start.) Concerning the electronic control board, this model of... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Needed new top and bottom dishwasher racks   Barbara S. • Apple Valley , CA • October 07, 2015

Bought them:) The top rack was more difficult as the water "spout" on the bottom of the top rack needed to be removed and put on the new rack. There were no instructions, and it was difficult to get snapped off. I didn't want to break it. It was easy to snap in place on the new rack however, once I got it off. The bottom rack just slid on. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Shutdown on wash cycle "motor high current" fault   Julian W. • Browns Summit , NC • July 21, 2015

Tested starter capacitor at 2.16µF. pic: http://s29.postimg.org/e05fufxdz/IMG_20150716_140312.jpg It should be 15µF. pic: http://s29.postimg.org/x3yrasa87/IMG_20150718_112327.jpg Contrary to service manual, capacitor is not accessible behind the toe/kick-plate; it is underneath but all the way towards the rear. To get to it, the dishwasher has to be removed and positioned face-down (drain first, use towels/drop-cloth). Read more
