Unfortunately, despite some dedicated efforts on the part Audrey Patrick and others, the problem was not solved. I replaced the door hinges, liner and gasket, but none of these solved what I believe is a flawed design. Replacement. Please note, the replacement part available only comes in the color black. We needed a grey switch and subsequently, we painted it to match existing. The part does not fit exactly in the opening. The original had square corners, the replacement has rounded corners, Therefore, a very slight opening existed at the corners. (about 1/16"). The part works fine, just a slight deviation from original. No instructions came with the part. Read more

Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new. Replaced door solenoid. This was somewhat involved as the top must be removed. The oven must be pulled back fromthe wall to access the screws. The hose for the down draft fan must be removed. The gas knobs mujst be removed and the there are four bolts holding it in place underneath. After the top comes off there are four bolts holding in the solenoid. Caution. Re use the plastic connector from the old solenoid wire to make a good connection. Old wires are easily pushed out of the connector... Read more

I ordered the part from you guys.....the part was delivered to my door step in a couple of days.....that same day just after I received the part......I decided to put the new part in.....it was easier than I thought it would be.....20 minutes later I had the new part in........while I was at it I also cleaned the bottom of the stove, put all the racks back in and turned the stove on to see if the fan was working......my goodness I fixed it myself........I am very happy with your fast service...
