Ordered the control panel because the switch membrane is part of it. removed two screws on each side of the panel and the four underneath. pulled the panel down and out to remove. removed the ribbon connection from the erc by sliding the tabs to the right and then removed the four screws that attached the erc to the panel. installed panel by reversing the processs. Be careful not to tighten or twist the small hex nut in the knob cylinder/housing with force. there is a very small plastic set tab that can be broken off easily. how do I know? The orientation of the switch "box" is horizontal instead of vertical. otherwise, this replacement part # works as expected. I couldn't get the switch to attach plate removed, and the switch removed, without removing the entire cooktop and removing the top glass burner cover. Not difficult, but time-consuming. Read more

Jenn-Air Model SVD48600 1. Error Code F7: Secured power and replaced the front display or membrane. Screws are along bottom edge and under stove top control knobs. Removed existing display board from membrane and installed it on the new membrane. Membrane wire ribbon end must be clean. Pull up little tabs on each end of socket on display board and ribbon just slips in/out. Push pins back in to secure.
