Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new. Replaced door solenoid. This was somewhat involved as the top must be removed. The oven must be pulled back fromthe wall to access the screws. The hose for the down draft fan must be removed. The gas knobs mujst be removed and the there are four bolts holding it in place underneath. After the top comes off there are four bolts holding in the solenoid. Caution. Re use the plastic connector from the old solenoid wire to make a good connection. Old wires are easily pushed out of the connector... Read more
