By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP5760M302-60

This electronic control board with overlay manages your range or wall oven's heating and user interface. Replacing a failing control restores accurate temperature regulation, proper bake/broil operation, and a readable display so the appliance responds as it should.

  • Common failure symptoms: dark or flickering display, unresponsive buttons, oven won't start or maintain set temperature, or error codes
What's included: Electronic control board and matching faceplate overlay
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; verify no voltage present
  • Use ESD precautions and handle the board by its edges
  • Photograph/label wiring; move connectors one at a time to the new board and seat fully
  • After installation, run any model-specific checks or calibrations per the service/tech sheet

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The oven was not staying up to set temperature   Pat M. • Kansas City , MO • December 05, 2023

I first tested and replaced the temperature sensor. Since this is a slide-in range, I managed to pull it out just enough to access the back without disconnecting the downdraft and gas line. (For wall models this would not be the case.) Unfortunately, that did not do it. Next I replaced the lower heating element because it was a little below the ohms level it should be at. No go. So far, both of these were pretty easy to do and were relatively inexpensive so I wasn't too frustrated. Then I... Read more

Igniter Switch (Spark)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4330739

Replacement igniter switch that restores spark ignition for gas cooktops and ranges, helping burners light reliably and reducing intermittent or no-ignite symptoms. Designed as a like-for-like control component when your original switch fails. What it does:

  • Sends the electrical spark signal to the burner ignition circuit so the burner lights
  • Stops clicking or sparking when the switch fails, which can cause burners not to ignite
  • Addresses symptoms like intermittent ignition, continuous clicking without flame, or no spark from the burner electrode
  • Works as the control point between user knob/ignition module and the spark system
What's included: One igniter switch (single replacement part) Install notes:
  • Turn off power to the appliance and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Replace with the exact part number and match connector types; do not force-fit a non-matching switch
  • After installation, test burners for proper ignition and check for gas leaks before normal use

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You One burner switch was failing to fire the igniter two burners were failing to light and the burner cones had become unsightly over the years   Gregory G. • Salcha , AK • January 07, 2018

I changed out the white burners for black ones which will be easier to clean. This is a simple matter of removing two screws on each burner. The one igniter switch turned out to be okay, but was not fully seated on the valve shaft. As to lighting off issues, the new burners helped, but the most improvement came from removing the burners and cleaning the orifices that supply gas to the burner tubes with a bit of fine wire. What's included:

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Stove downdraft stopped working   Robert B. • Gaithersburg , MD • March 08, 2016

I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more
