This molded air duct directs cooled air inside the refrigerator to maintain even airflow and temperature distribution. Replacing a damaged duct restores proper circulation and helps reduce warm spots and uneven cooling. What it does:

• Routes conditioned air from the evaporator into cabinet compartments for consistent cooling
• Helps maintain temperature balance between freezer and fresh-food sections
• Prevents drafts or bypass that can cause localized warm spots or frost buildup
• Works with vents, fans and dampers to control internal airflow

• One air duct

• Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any repair
• Access typically requires removing interior liners or shelves; handle plastic panels and clips carefully to avoid breakage
• Align tabs and mounting points; secure with original screws or clips
• If airflow problems persist after replacement, inspect related vents, dampers and the evaporator fan
