The door latch is opened by the lever switch, which sits on a plastic peg on the body latch - part AP3186330. This plastic peg had broken. Talking to the dealer, it sounds like a common problem. It's fairly simple to open the cabinet and remove the old part. The manual claims that the big capacitor has a self-discharging circuit, but it's best to briefly short it out with a resistor just to be sure. Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new. Replaced door solenoid. This was somewhat involved as the top must be removed. The oven must be pulled back fromthe wall to access the screws. The hose for the down draft fan must be removed. The gas knobs mujst be removed and the there are four bolts holding it in place underneath. After the top comes off there are four bolts holding in the solenoid. Caution.
