Spark Module
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB13K25

The Spark Module is an OEM replacement part for GE gas ranges. It is responsible for generating electric sparks to ignite the gas burners on the cooktop. The spark module produces consecutive sparks when a surface burner knob is turned on, which ignite the gas mixture and allows the burner flame to ignite safely and consistently.

Causes of a bad spark module can include faulty electrodes, worn internal components that hamper sparking, or damage due to moisture intrusion or power surges over time.

Symptoms of a bad spark module include:

  • Burners that will not ignite or only intermittently ignite
  • Flashback or burning above the burner head
  • The smell of gas when turning burners on

This GE replacement part is also compatible with models from Hotpoint, RCA, and certain Kenmore gas ranges.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Won't start

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE Gas Cooktop Wouldn't Light   Michael S. • Owasso , OK • March 17, 2014

My problem was intermittent spark and then no spark. My first fix was to give my wife one of those long BBQ grill lighters but after about a week she told me to "FIX IT". After researching the problem on the internet I determined it was likely one of three things: IGNITERS (not likely), SWITCHES (possible), or SPARK MODULE (most likely). I ordered the Spark Module on Sunday night and it arrived on Tuesday. I was totally surprised by the speed of delivery. Took about 30 minutes to install and... Read more

Burner Pan
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB32X90

This burner pan fits beneath the surface burner, catching drips and supporting the burner assembly. Replacing a worn pan refreshes the cooktop's appearance and helps protect surrounding components from spills, corrosion, and heat damage.

  • Sits under the surface burner to collect spills and splatters
  • Supports and helps align burner components for proper seating
  • Shields the cooktop well from heat and moisture
  • Common signs of wear: heavy rust, pitting, warping, baked-on stains, or persistent burnt odors
Includes: 1 burner pan Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and, if applicable, shut off gas. Allow the appliance to cool completely.
  • Remove the surface components above the pan and lift out the old pan.
  • Clean the area so the new pan sits flat and secure.
