Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Replacing oven racks   Sharon M. • Richmond , TX • July 29, 2015

I'm a Realtor and I know how important it is to have a pristine home no matter the age. I find keeping the oven by itself is relatively easy but the racks tend to be a bit harder to keep spotless. My way of trouble shooting this prior to putting my home on the market, new racks. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Failed oven igniter   Eric P. • Phoenix , AZ • June 26, 2015

Screws on igniter mount were stripped, I cut and drilled them but destroyed the bake assembly tube in the process. I ordered igniter, bake assembly L shaped tube, and 2 screws from Appliance pros. Once I received the parts, the fix took less than 10 minutes. Parts were perfect. Was challenging because of the stripped screws, I recommend removing the entire bake assembly L shaped tube before attempting to unscrew the igniter from its mounts, you may not strip them that way. Other than... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Igniter replacement and overall maintenenance   Julio M. • Tucson , AZ • February 13, 2017

Second repair after 10 years of service - igniter had cracked and spill overs were causing the others to misfire. This was a two-step process. I took apart the cooktop to see what parts were neded. Screws were all rusted, I had to drill ome out. The burner gaskets broke during the process and needed replacement. One of the burners had deformed due to excess heat. After that initial diagnose, I reassembled the cooktop without the igniters and ordered all the parts I needed. The second stage was... Read more

Very simple. I have done it before. But you have to pull out the oven and remove the rear cover that covers the electrical connections. The wire for the igniter has to be pushed through from the inside of the oven into the rear of the oven in order to connect it. Read more
