This broiler burner baffle directs heat and flames across the broiler chamber to promote even cooking and help protect the burner from drips and debris. It's a simple, durable sheet metal part used in gas broilers. What it does:

• Redirects and evens heat distribution under the broil pan for more uniform browning
• Shields the burner from food drips and grease to reduce flare-ups and clogging
• Helps maintain proper burner flame pattern for consistent broiling
• Can resolve uneven broiling, excessive flare-ups, or burner flame irregularities when worn or damaged

• Disconnect power to the appliance and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Allow the range to cool completely; use gloves to avoid sharp edges
• Remove broiler pan and any obstructions, then position the baffle so it seats over the burner supports as shown in your service literature

The Spark Module is an OEM replacement part for GE gas ranges. It is responsible for generating electric sparks to ignite the gas burners on the cooktop. The spark module produces consecutive sparks when a surface burner knob is turned on, which ignite the gas mixture and allows the burner flame to ignite safely and consistently. 

Causes of a bad spark module can include faulty electrodes, worn internal components that hamper sparking, or damage due to moisture intrusion or power surges over time. 

Symptoms of a bad spark module include:

• Burners that will not ignite or only intermittently ignite 
• Flashback or burning above the burner head 
• The smell of gas when turning burners on
