Burner Bowl Large
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB31K5079

The Burner Bowl Large is an OEM component for GE gas cooktops and ranges. It refers to the metal pan that sits beneath one of the large front burners on the appliance.

Over time and with heavy use, exposed burner bowls can develop warping from intense heat. Grease and food residue buildup inside the bowl is also common and causes reduced performance if not cleaned regularly.

Symptoms of a warped or clogged burner bowl include:

  • Uneven or abnormal burner flame patterns
  • Slow boiling or heating of cookware placed above
  • Potential gas smells if warping allows leaks around the bowl
  • Residue that cannot be removed with regular cleaning

This burner bowl is also compatible with some Kenmore, Hotpoint, and RCA gas ranges.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Drip pans on gas cooktop were dirty   Frank V. • Hampton Bays , NY • March 09, 2016

After trying to clean the drip pans on my GE gas cooktop numerous times I went online and found AppliancePartsPros.com. The parts were very affordable and they had them in stock. They even had a help section that showed me how to install them. In two days they were delivered to my doorstep and it took less than an hour to install. Now my cooktop looks brand new. Read more

Spark Module
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB13K25

The Spark Module is an OEM replacement part for GE gas ranges. It is responsible for generating electric sparks to ignite the gas burners on the cooktop. The spark module produces consecutive sparks when a surface burner knob is turned on, which ignite the gas mixture and allows the burner flame to ignite safely and consistently.

Causes of a bad spark module can include faulty electrodes, worn internal components that hamper sparking, or damage due to moisture intrusion or power surges over time.

Symptoms of a bad spark module include:

  • Burners that will not ignite or only intermittently ignite
  • Flashback or burning above the burner head
  • The smell of gas when turning burners on

This GE replacement part is also compatible with models from Hotpoint, RCA, and certain Kenmore gas ranges.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Won't start

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE Gas Cooktop Wouldn't Light   Michael S. • Owasso , OK • March 17, 2014

My problem was intermittent spark and then no spark. My first fix was to give my wife one of those long BBQ grill lighters but after about a week she told me to "FIX IT". After researching the problem on the internet I determined it was likely one of three things: IGNITERS (not likely), SWITCHES (possible), or SPARK MODULE (most likely). I ordered the Spark Module on Sunday night and it arrived on Tuesday. I was totally surprised by the speed of delivery. Took about 30 minutes to install and... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Burned out bulb   June R. • Dickinson , ND • December 26, 2014

Replaced the bulb with a standard appliance bulb, recommended wattage, but the "gasket" behind the ring holding the glass cover over the bulb looked like a mat of fiberglass. It was almost impossible to get back into place without tufts of it sticking out of the metal ring. Went looking to see if there was a replacement gasket and found these recommended for my model oven. Much neater than fiberglass pieces hanging in the oven cavity over food! Main problem is the design and placement of the... Read more

Spark Electrode Mounting Clip
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB1K56

This small metal clip secures the surface burner spark electrode to its bracket or burner base, holding the tip at the proper gap for reliable ignition. Replace a missing, bent, or corroded clip to help restore consistent sparking.

  • Holds the surface burner spark electrode firmly in position near the burner head
  • Maintains correct alignment and gap so the igniter can spark to the burner
  • Can help with delayed ignition, intermittent sparking, or a burner that won't light
  • Typical signs include a loose/wobbly electrode, visible damage, or a missing clip

What's included: 1 mounting clip Install notes:

  • Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing
  • Lift the cooktop or remove burner components to access the electrode; note clip orientation
  • Transfer the electrode into the new clip and seat the clip securely in its bracket or base
  • Avoid stressing the electrode's ceramic insulator; verify the tip is aimed at the burner rim and test ignition

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My GE profile surface range needed a few switch gas valves and electrodes.   John H. • Yonkers , NY • February 06, 2018

Using the parts diagram and some online videos I learned how to disassemble the cooktop. I called the Appliance Parts Pros rep and she walked me through those things I didn't understand and what parts I needed to order. It then became easy to do once I received the parts. Read more
