Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Burned out oven bake element   Richard S. • Camano Island , WA • May 19, 2015

Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new. Reverse the past few steps and re-attach the wires and screw. Simple as that. I also chose to replace the Broiler Element as a... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Jenn aire double oven incessant beeping   John J. • Woodstock , GA • June 13, 2015

After searching for possible causes of the beeping and touchscreen flashing of options, I was pretty certain the problem was in the control board. The problem was so annoying we took to flipping the circuit breaker off when the ovens were not in use. Buying the electronic control board was a bit of a gamble because the replacement cost about $365. New ovens would have been several thousand dollars. (BTW, the same replacement board on another website was over $500). I ordered the board and... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Jenn air oven went out it showed no signes of life at all!   Owen G. • Austin , TX • August 25, 2014

Ovens seem to be very simple.. I checked with a meter and there was power, both 120V & 240V, being supplies to the oven. Everything is controlled by the Electronic Control Board so it was logical that this board was the problem, so I ordered a new one from AppliancePartspros.com. It was easy to replace and I was able to disconnect the wiring from the old board and connect it right to the new board so no chance of screwing the wiring up. Once I got it connected and verified that everything else... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Convection oven was very noisy   Kim H. • Tiverton , RI • October 05, 2015

Jenn-Air convection oven fan was very noisy, especially at startup. I ordered a replacement with "slow boat" shipping. It arrived the next day! There are 6 screws to remove, unplug the old unit, and replace with the new one. Silence! It took about 10 minutes to replace (I had taken the old one out previously to determine if there was something that could be done). Read more
