By: Ge
Part Number: WB7X7183

Color: Black
Each package includes one end cap. For the white version, order part number WB7K5319.

The Handle End Cap is an OEM part for GE ranges. This part plays a role in capping the ends of the range handle, allowing a seamless and aesthetically pleasing finish while also preventing injuries by covering potentially sharp edges.

Causes of a bad handle end cap include physical impact, frequent cleaning that leads to wear, or degradation due to exposure to kitchen grease and heat.

Symptoms of a bad hand end cap:

  • A loose or incomplete look of the range handle, affecting the overall design and functionality.
  • Exposed sharp edges that could pose a safety risk to users.
  • An unsecured handle, which may affect the ease of opening and closing the oven door.

This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken oven handle   Barbara B. • Bryan , TX • September 30, 2014

I removed the screws on the top edge of the oven door to release the front panel to the back panel. I then removed the screws securing the handle in place. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Shattered outer glass of double oven door   Shannon M. • Waco , TX • January 05, 2015

Had to remove old glass shards, and reflector tape. Would recommend pliers. I used a utility knife and gloves. Then removed the screws on the top section of outer glass trim. This allowed me to install the metal handle brackets inside and partially behind the trim piece, before securing to new glass. During this time, I did settle the new piece of glass in the bottom track of the outer trim. I also the installed the new heat. reflector tape to the top inside edge of the door. Had to leave some... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Removing to clean   Randy S. • Bremerton , WA • August 18, 2018

The fan was straightforward unscrew and disconnect wires then reinstall. The gaskets required the door to be disassembled contrary to the video that was provided when purchasing the gasket for the door. Disassembly was not hard just take a lot of pictures so you get everything back into the correct place. Also, a good time to clean door frame and wash the glass. Read more
