This genuine replacement part is a radiant element for electric stoves. The radiant element is the component of the stove that heats up to allow the stove to perform its essential function of cooking. If the stove is no longer heating properly or not at all, it could mean that the radiant element needs to be replaced. Luckily this is a relatively simple process. To replace the radiant element, make sure to turn the power supply off to the stove by either unplugging it or shutting off the circuit breaker. Once powered off, proceed to locate the screws that attach the radiant element to the stove. Once identified, remove them using a screwdriver and pull up on the radiant element to release it from the stove. Once released, remove the wire harness that is connected to the radiant element and place it into the new part. Place the new radiant element on top of the stove and secure the screws that hold it in place. This OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand electric stoves.
