Turned power to oven off at breaker box. Opened oven door. Unscrewed 3 Phillips-head screws on chrome trim around control panel. Unscrewed 2 Phillips-head screws holding selector switch. Laid control panel down on top of closed oven door. Removed wires by hand from old switch and connected them to the same terminals on the new switch (the wire connectors pull off easily). I finally ordered the control board after I had resorted to banging the blank space next to the display with my fist. The oven had been shutting off after reaching temperature, sometimes after a few minutes and sometimes almost immediately.
