Monday morning handle broke. Monday afternoon, ordered new handle from AppliancePartsPros.com. Tuesday, late morning, received new handle. (amazing, I had a new handle in my hands in less than 24 hours, standard shipping.) Watched U-Tube video on how to replace handle, 2 minutes. Used putty knife to remove gasket from inside door exposing screws to broken handle. Removed broken handle and replaced with new handle. Replaced gasket that snapped into place. I researched the GE website and talked with one of their representatives. She said to look at youtube videos on how to replace the handle. AppliancePartsPros had a video about it, and when I researched their site, found that I could save about $20 by purchasing through them. At first I thought that I would be getting an "almond" handle, rather than the "bisque", but they shipped a perfect GE replacement part for us, and we had it installed in less than 30 minutes. Popped out part of the frame (closest to the outside edge) from inside of microwave with a butter knife. Started from the bottom. There were two screws. I unscrewed the screws and screwed them back in, holding handle to the outside of the door. Read more

Ordered door switches, but didn't solve problem. Sent them back for credit. Ordered thermostat and it solved the problem. Microwave now works fine. The unit is only 7 years old and hope to get another 7 or more out of it. Thanks. Read more

I ordered a new fan and motor unit and replaced the faulty unit.The case of the microwave was easy to unscrew and remove. The most difficult operation was to remove the appliance from the wall bracket as it weighed about 28kg. The cable connection to the motor was a push fit. Read more
