Received a replacement bulb, removed the outer cover and replaced the defective bulb with the new one. Used the special security Torx bit to remove the back screws. Had purchased a set some time ago and only use them occasionally, but always glad they are on hand when needed. Replaced outer cover and light works fine. This thermal safety device monitors temperature in your microwave and shuts off power if overheating occurs. It protects the magnetron and other components from damage due to excessive heat. Replace it if your microwave stops heating, runs but doesn't heat food, or shuts off unexpectedly.
Replaced a bad thermostat. The factory thermostat had a bad internal connection (one contact was loose) and that caused the insulation to melt with the eventual failure of the thermostat. I ordered a replacement door latch. It was simple to snap off the plastic trim bezel on the inside of the door, then raise the existing latch and unhook it from its guide. (Lift and pull sideways until it snaps out of its track.) Read more
