This heating element is located at the bottom of your oven and provides the heat for baking. It glows red when activated and maintains consistent temperature throughout the cooking cycle. Replace this element if your oven won't heat up, bakes unevenly, or if you see visible damage like cracks or breaks in the coil.
Look at the video on appliance part pros / youtube to change glass. set up a work space where you can place the oven door. Have a shop vac ready for all little pieces of glass and cordless drill / driver with phillips head tip. Remove 8-10 screws and it comes apart like a sandwich. shop vac all glass and replace with new. Take it easy with cordless drill when tightening so you don't crack the new glass. Took about an hour. Size: Small. Front gas burner valve.
I'm no repair expert, but this looked like a really easy job, but it wasn't. It took about 1.5 hours. You have to remove the oven from the wall to do the job. After you remove the back panel it's pretty self explanatory. I had some difficulty getting the back panel to fit properly. Patience and persistence. I suggest taking a photo of the panel before you remove it to help. In the end it's all together and working fine. Read more
