Had to use 2 right-angle screwdrivers to pry broken blade holder off shaft. Used bowl like slide hammer to get holder completely off. The blade must have stuck in to the plastic bowl as high speed, as it stopped so abruptly that the steel motor shaft, which has two flats on it, rotated inside the plastic sleeve, bulging the two flats against the inside of the blade holder, which is why it was so difficult to remove.
