This door glass seal replaces the soft gasket that fits around the inner oven door glass to help keep heat and smoke inside the oven cavity for safer, more efficient cooking. It restores a better seal and reduces heat loss around the door. What it does:

Frequent referral to your tutorial video was extremely useful. In the video at 0.90 had trouble lifting the over door off. At 4.00 in video the factory installed insulation in our stove was doubled on itself and therefore only covered half of the perimeter of the insulation channel. Factory goof. Reassembly at 4.25 in video have to be certain BOTH sides of tabs engage large flat pan, since I took off both hinges. Not quite obvious in video if both door hinges were removed. Read more
