Ordered a part from Appliance Parts which fit perfectly. The only hard time which was a challenge was to snap the framework off the door itself, without breaking the glass. With a flat head screwdriver it was easy to pop the whole thing out after loosening the plastic snaps around the door. A little pressure by the door side of the frame and it just came loose. Color: Stainless. Size: Approx 29 1/2 inches wide x 3 inches high. For black order 8184608. For white order 8183948.
The issue with the part is design. The plastic grows brittle over time, perhaps due to heat exposure above the stove. The repair was as easy as they come. Remove the screws from the old broken off pieces, insert the tabs into the bottom of the vent, pop the top into place and put the screws back in. done. 5 min. Read more

If someone knew the best way to do it putting it back together again it would of been much faster and it could be done in less than 30 minutes. Read more

Applied glue to the new cover and attached it with the push connectors to the holes in the inside roof of the unit. Let it sit over night and everything works fine. Read more
