This is a Whirlpool refrigerator control board. It manages the appliance's temperature, defrost timing, and other vital functions. If damaged, the refrigerator may have difficulty maintaining an appropriate temperature. The compressor may run constantly, or may never kick on at all.Unplug the refrigerator before installing this part. It might be a good idea to move food to temporary cool storage, as well. Remove the wire harness and mounting screws from the control panel and install the new component in its place. This is a genuine OEM part compatible with refrigerators manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others. It is sold without any additional hardware.
