The Whirlpool EveryDrop Refrigerator Water Filter 8 reduces contaminants such as cysts, rust, dirt, limescale, sand, and silt to provide clean, fresh tasting water. This filter is used by specific Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators with a round plastic filter located inside the refrigerator compartment which accept Filter 8. Single filter. Following the general guidance from the online video (fridge shown of course didn't exactly match mine) gutted the inside of the fridge enough to remove the water line. Replaced with new line, reversed gutting process on fridge. New line fixed the issue with the "clear stringy stuff" floating in the dispensed water. Read more
