Water inlet fill hose connects the valve to the tank inlet on your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged to restore proper water flow.
Pulled dishwasher from under counter, disconnecting water supply pipe for access. Removed vent and fouled gasket and cleaned pieces with CLR. Reinstalled gasket, reconnected water supply and repositioned dishwasher under counter. Not particularly easy for DIYer but can be done. As a side note, I ordered 2 gaskets for the first repair so one was readily available. When the subsequent repair was finished, I order 2 more, due to low price, for backup. Read more
Structural door frame for dishwashers. Mounts to the tub and supports the door panel. Replace if cracked, rusted, warped, or damaged from corrosion.
I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. The coarse strainer screen is located at the bottom of the dishwasher tub and filters large food particles from the wash water. Replace it when dishes remain dirty after washing, you notice poor drainage, or the screen is cracked or clogged beyond cleaning.
This latch component secures the dishwasher door in the closed position and activates the door switch for operation. Replace when the door won't stay closed, doesn't latch securely, or the dishwasher won't start despite the door being shut.
