Patrick H Montgomery , IL April 17, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDG25SHWH1 Leaky gasket due to foul water supplied by local water provider this was the second occurrence in five years Pulled dishwasher from under counter, disconnecting water supply pipe for access. Removed vent and fouled gasket and cleaned pieces with CLR. Reinstalled gasket, reconnected water supply and repositioned dishwasher under counter. Not particularly easy for DIYer but can be done. As a side note, I ordered 2 gaskets for the first repair so one was readily available. When the subsequent repair was finished, I order 2 more, due to low price, for backup. Make sure you clean any hard water residue from the sealing surface while you have it apart for the gasket change. Read More...
