To eliminate ordering parts that are working, I went to hardware store to get a multimeter to test and confirmed the continuity of the themal fuse and the door switches are working. Saw another reviewer post a similar problem and I went with the solution by replacing the panel-ctl. Ordered the part, replaced it after receiving the delivery package, turned the breaker back on, ran a test cycle, et voila, it works as new. I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. Reattached both hoses. It leaked a little bit, so I had to put plumbing tape and really make it tight. Then the leaked stopped. Read more

We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more

The odor in the dishwasher was due to scum buildup in the walls, the racks, and in the lower part of the drain below the lower rotating arm. One of the valves in the vertical tube was stuck in the open position; since the valves cannot be replaced, the entire tube needed replacement. The check valve probably needed no replacement, but once I opened the bottom part, I decided to replace it anyway. I ordered a new detergent dispenser and control assembly, watched a few videos on you tube and dived in. The repairs were pretty simple once I got started and while I was doing this I went the extra step and cleaned out the drain. I would suggest doing this annually. Pretty simple to do and only 5 screws to get to the drain and the grinder. I reviewed the schematic and saw the Volute Seal, and Impeller Seal were the two that were closest my source of water. After watching the video about changing the Impeller/seal I removed the motor, impeller, and volute; I found that the impeller seal was the faulty one in my case. Since I'd ordered the volute and impeller seal kits (as I wasn't sure which it was) I installed both while I had it apart. Runs great, no water - simple to do. The seal changes took about 20 minutes.
