Replaced element, but new one had higher current rating requiring changeout of control circuit board making price much higher than for element alone. Note that this was with every parts dealer for this machine. Changing circuit board was easy, am former techie, hard part was getting access to rear of dishwasher. Replace with a new control panel and now works fine. Had previously replace the electronic control board but that was not the problem. A little tough gettng the digital display out and be careful screwing in screws because they go in to plastic. Had a tech replace it years ago and he broke some of them screwing in too hard. After noticing that the dishwasher was leaking , I noticed that the hose was split on the knit line. Replaced that with an automotive hose and on further investigation I noticed that a gasket was leaking also. Easy to replace and repair. Also used some dielectric grease. Reassembled and no leakes. Total repair was about $20.00 total. Read more
