1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. Called Lowes to get it repaired. They sent out a company that was on their approved list. $255.00 and two weeks later it quit again. Opened the panel and the service technican had installed what appears to be a clothes dryer Thermal fuse. I got online and ordered the proper fuse, $27.79 including shipping which arrived in two days via Fedex and installed the new proper fuse. I might add that I am a retired SBC systems technican. I nearly shelled out for a new Kitchenaid when I remembered APP and entered my model # just for fun. The interactive diagrams and install videos showed where all the parts "should" be, mine were badly disintegrated, so I replaced the damaged ones and swapped out all of the other easily accessible seals and bearings (also gave it a good and very disturbing cleaning). My parts surprisingly arrived next day and for about $40, the dishwasher is quiet and works like new again. Read more
