Kitchen Aid dishwasher is 11 years old, and the tines have been rusting and biting the dust one by over the last few years. Rather than further destroy my dishes by abrading them with rust particles, I decided to get new racks. They are terribly expensive, and I pondered getting a new dishwasher. Ordered a new tube so the flapper valves would be clean and close properly. The old flapper valves had buildup on them and would not divert the water to the upper spinner. The cups would get a soap/food scrap residue that hadn't been cleaned off. Wish I didn't have to buy the entire tube and could just get the flapper valves/assembly separately as the tube was fine, just needed the diverter/flapper valves, but price was pretty good and it arrived in a moderately decent time. Read quite a few blogs and reviewed a few videos. We tried all the controller resets but none worked. I knew it was a gamble on if it was just the keypad or the controller, or maybe something else like the pump, heating element or a simple fuse.
