The Transmission Housing is an OEM part for Whirlpool mixers. This component encases the transmission, which is responsible for transferring power from the motor to the mixing attachments. The housing ensures the transmission is protected from external damage and maintains the alignment and stability of internal components.
Over time, the transmission housing can become compromised due to regular use, exposure to food and moisture, or accidental impacts. Damage to this part can lead to misalignment, which affects the performance of the mixer.
Symptoms of a bad transmission housing include:
- Unusual noises during operation
- Mixing attachments not spinning properly
- Visible cracks or damage to the housing
- Leaking grease from the transmission area
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
