The Light Bulb is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It can be used in either the fresh food section or freezer compartment, providing illumination for easy visibility of the stored items.
Causes of a faulty light bulb can include regular wear and tear, reaching the end of its lifespan, or accidental breakage. These factors can result in issues such as a dark or poorly lit interior, making it difficult to see the contents of the refrigerator.
Symptoms of a bad light bulb may include:

So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. Stores ice from your refrigerator's ice maker. Replace if cracked, warped, or damaged, causing ice jams, poor dispensing, or freezer mess.
Took out two screws in the front top of the freezer. Had to loosen screws on the airflow director to get the ice maker to slide into place. Plug in the connector then slide ice maker into the two slots in the back (it's snug) then lift it to the screw holes and screw it in and your down. Turn on the water. Turn on the ice maker and give it 12 hrs and you will start getting ice. Takes a few cycles to get the air out of the line. Read more

This main control board serves as the electronic brain of your refrigerator, managing temperature control, defrost cycles, and various cooling functions. It processes input from temperature sensors and controls compressor operation, fan motors, and other components. Replace it if your refrigerator doesn't cool properly, displays error codes, or if temperature controls don't respond correctly.
Watched video on how to replace the control board. Very easy. Ordered part, and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Love you site and how it promotes DIY. Even for a non-techy girl....saved hindreds of dollars. And you kept you word on overnight delivery. Highly recommend. Read more

This main control board manages all electrical functions in your refrigerator including temperature regulation, defrost cycles, and interior lighting. It controls the compressor, fans, and ice maker operations to maintain proper cooling performance. Replace this board if your refrigerator stops cooling, cycles erratically, or display panels become unresponsive.
Initially would shut off power, and turn back on. The first board I received had an issue with no fans running. Customer service was great and sent me another one as soon as they got it, back-ordered. The second one is working well so far but I also replaced the condenser fan and cleaned everything and added a surge protector. So far so good but since the problem was intermittent so time will tell. Read more
