This DC motor drives the evaporator fan that circulates cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the refrigerator and freezer compartments. It is essential for maintaining even, consistent temperatures inside the unit. Replace this motor if the refrigerator is not cooling properly, the freezer is cold but the fresh food section is warm, or you hear unusual buzzing or grinding noises coming from behind the interior back panel.
I had a repair company come out. The part was on backorder from 3 wholesalers in California. Turns out the manufacturer had the wrong fan motor installed inside. It was way too small. I am taking the matter up with LG Read more
