Secures the temperature sensing tube to the thermostat for accurate temperature control. Replace if loose, missing, or damaged to prevent erratic cooling.
Secures the compressor to the mounting bracket in your refrigerator or freezer. Replace if missing, stripped, or corroded during compressor service.

The square shaft was broken off in the recessed hole of the freezer door lock and would not allow the key to engage it to turn and lock the freezer door. R and R of door lock assy was necessary but not easy-it was accessed through a 1/2" X 1.5" slot in the inner ledge of the door that the hook from the lock protruded through to lock the door.
