First I changed out the defrost sensor. I knew the defrost heater was working. This did not fix the problem, but was less expensive than the power control board, so I tried it first. I replaced the lighting display / control circuit board. This was quite easy to replace after I figured out how to gain access to it. I finally found someone who posted how to replace it - you basically pull the whole assembly (ice/water delivery assembly, with display) out from the front without any prying.
