This temperature sensor monitors refrigerator compartment temperature and sends signals to the control board for proper cooling. It ensures accurate temperature control and efficient operation of the cooling system. Replace this thermistor if your refrigerator runs constantly, doesn't maintain proper temperature, or displays temperature error codes.
First I changed out the defrost sensor. I knew the defrost heater was working. This did not fix the problem, but was less expensive than the power control board, so I tried it first. I replaced the lighting display / control circuit board. This was quite easy to replace after I figured out how to gain access to it. I finally found someone who posted how to replace it - you basically pull the whole assembly (ice/water delivery assembly, with display) out from the front without any prying.
