I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. I don't do appliance repairs. However I read several reviews from others about how easy this repair was, so decided to attempt it myself. As others have said, the most difficult part of this repair is figuring how to get the housing for the ice and water dispenser out of the door. I used a very small flat head screwdriver and started at the lower left hand side.
