After checked the cooling coil on the back of freezer showing ice built up around the coil, I thought defrost heater did not working that cause a lot of ice blocking cold air traveling. While waiting the new defrost heater, I plugged in refrigerator through a timer that off and on every 6 hours. So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. It occurred to me that it was a fix I could handle on my own since it was a part unto its own. Therefore I looked up the part number found the website and ordered. Installation: took out the offensive part, replaced it with the new one and I once again had a viable dispenser. Read more
